SPRING RETREAT
YORK, MAINE
MAY 14-16, 2023
Our 3-day Spring Retreat…
This year's Spring Retreat is all about coming home. Perched along Maine's iconic coastline, just moments from the historic Nubble Lighthouse, our expansive retreat offers uninterrupted views of the Atlantic and plenty of space to relax in solitude or explore the area at your own pace. Mornings begin with coffee overlooking the water as the light spills across the horizon, and evenings unfold slowly with shared meals, salty ocean air, and the kind of quiet only the coast can offer.
Led by Rise Run Retreat Owner, Kelly Arp, Mirna Valerio (bio), Emily Saul (bio), the three-day weekend is built around four ways home: home to self: by getting honest and reconnecting with your own truth beneath the roles you play; home to body: through movement, breath, and presence; home to mind: where self-talk becomes self-trust and the mind becomes an ally, not a critic; and home to community: where belonging and connection grow from shared, honest experience. Our group runs chase the waves along scenic coastal routes, then return to a home base made for rest, reflection, and connection.
Designed for runners of all abilities, this retreat invites you to slow down, honor your body's needs and fill your cup so you're ready for your next goal. Whether you run marathons or are lacing up for your first 5K, there's a place for you here. This is an experience not to be missed.

Coming Home
We spend so much of our lives looking outward, for validation, connection, inspiration, the next thing that will finally make us feel whole. This weekend, we're bringing it back home: to the core of each of us. Everything you need is already within you. Sometimes we just need a little jiggle to unlock it.
That's what Coming Home is built around: four ways back to yourself, held together by the belief that the mind and body are never separate, and that none of us are meant to do this alone. We need our people. We need our wolfpack. That's where Rise Run Retreat comes in.
Over the weekend, you'll move through all four:
Home to Self - getting honest, and reconnecting to the truth beneath the roles you play, as a runner, a mother, a professional, a friend.
Home to Body - through movement, breath, and presence, coming back into the body you live in every day.
Home to Mind - where self-talk becomes self-trust, and the mind shifts from critic to ally.
Home to Community - belonging and connection, grown through honesty, shared miles, shared meals, shared truth.
to self, to body, to mind, to community

The biggest difference is the length of the retreat and the fact that our 3-day retreat does not feature outside guest speakers and is facilitated by Rise Run Retreat founder and host, Sarah Canney and Rise Run Retreat staff.

The retreat does not provide transportation to and from the airport but assists attendees with coordinating carpool and rideshare with other attendees.
