Sally grew up in sunny Southern California with 3 sisters and one brother. From an early age she loved soccer and spent most of her time outdoors. 

It wasn’t until after college she focused on endurance running, spending a brief time running road marathons before finding ultra marathons in 2009. In 2010 she ran her first 50 mile race and immediately fell in love with the sport. 

Having been a competitive athlete for most of her life, she began focused training and started setting goals for herself. Her dream of becoming a professional athlete was realized at the beginning of 2014 when she signed with Nike. Sally is a decorated athlete with impressive performances at Western States 100 and numerous wins. Sally is currently working on a book about her journey. Jacky Hunt-Broersma lost her leg to cancer (Ewing Sarcoma) in 2001. For many years Jacky did everything she could to hide her leg. In 2016, Jacky decided to start running in 2016 and realized she couldn't hide her leg any longer. Embracing the uniqueness of her journey has allowed her to prove the naysayers wrong and inspire other amputee runners in the process. Jacky runs ultra distances on the trail, recently competing the Transrockies stage race, a six-day, 120 mile trek through the rugged mountains of Colorado. Jacky’s favorite distance is 50 miles. Jack is also a mom and you can frequently find her daughter running by her side.

Tiffany’s experience as an Executive Chef and 20+ years in professional kitchens has informed her holistic wellness journey and approach to food. Food has always been a great love for Tiffany and she channeled that love into her education, receiving a degree in Food Science from UC Davis before going on to The Culinary Institute of America where she earned an Advanced Culinary Arts Certification. After working 80-hour weeks in the restaurant industry, enduring chronic headaches, fatigue, and anxiety, Tiffany decided there must be a better way. From there she began her journey to understand food in a new way, starting her company SAGE + SALT where she helps others gain an approachable and attainable healthy lifestyle as a nutrition coach, private chef and cooking instructor. Tiffany believes that there is a place for every food in our daily nourishment and brings a holistic approach to food with total body wellness in mind. Tiffany is also an avid runner and loves exploring the trails near her home near Lake Tahoe.

Sarah is an athlete, coach, writer and mom with a passion running. After battling an eating disorder for nearly ten years in her teens and early 20's, Sarah found freedom and healing. Running proved a catalyst in her transformation as she learned to rewrite the negative narrative in her head and find a unique strength within herself. As Sarah became more involved in the running community she was inspired by the connections she had made to create Rise.Run.Retreat in 2015.

Sarah's mission is to help women gain confidence, find strength and make authentic connections through running. As the host, she creates a place for women to be inspired and experience personal growth through running.

Annie Wagoner studied Psychology at Connecticut College and knew all along that she wanted to interconnect her passion for counseling with movement and mind-body nutrition. She started practicing yoga in 2001 to help aid in her training as a field hockey player and rower in college. Yoga brought balance and healing to her body, and helped her tap into deep core power and discover greater strength. Annie’s classes explore this powerful fusion of yoga and strength, offering dynamic flowing sequences that move from the core and invite vitality, mindfulness, flexibility, balance, and playfulness in. She strongly believes in preventative medicine and feels that consistent stretching, strengthening, and self-care can heal and restore the body and mind. 

 

Annie is also a Certified Holistic Heath Coach, owner of Core Nourishment, mom of 2 amazing kids, wife of her soul partner, a personal trainer, reiki master, a foodie, a runner, motivational speaker, and podcaster. She is deeply passionate about educating and empowering others to make positive lifestyle choices so that they can fuel their bodies, work, relationships, passions and dreams. Annie has her 200hr Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) certification through the Yoga of Energy Flow teacher training at Dover Yoga, her 50hr Yin Yoga Teacher certification, and her personal training certification through NASM.
